Galileo International has been planning improvements to maintain stability and reliability of the FocalpointNet platform. As part of this process we will be upgrading key components of the platform.

With the impending changes to the FocalpointNet platform, all FocalpointNet sites that are on PPTP will be required to make a change on the Wingate Server.

Please ensure that the Destination Field on the Galileo VPN Window is set to FPNETPPTP.GALILEO.COM.

Please refer to this diagram as a guide. If the destination field is already set to FPNETPPTP.GALILEO.COM then no change is required.

To ensure that these changes are relevant and maximise platform stability, it is important that you do not use the OLD IP Addresses in the Destination Field and that this change is undertaken promptly.

How to change the Destination Address on Galileo VPN Connection?

NOTE: Galileo VPN icon usually located on the Desktop as a shortcut

1.       Double click the Galileo VPN Connection icon on the desktop

2.       Click PROPERTIES button. See below.

3.       The properties screen appears. Type in the DNS name here:

          DNS name FPNETPPTP.GALILEO.COM

4.       Click OK button and this will take you back to the connection/login screen.

5.       Click the CONNECT button.
