Galileo IDS (GIDS) provides a set data stream which allows Galileo customers to access any of the PNR data fields. The advantage of using GIDS is that the data is a “push” rather than a “pull”, so the customer is not required to access the host to obtain the data and potentially incur excessive transaction charges. Another advantage of using GIDS is that the data structure has already been established. Customers do not need to create the data calls necessary to capture this information from the host. GIDS writes this data to a SQL Server owned and managed by the customer. Data mining and report generation are only limited by the imagination and skills of the customer.
