Did you know that you can now book and ticket participating European rail passes and point-to-point rail travel in Apollo® through AccesRail (9B) as easily as you book air travel? AccesRail is an IATA member formed by a group of partner and participating railways.

Here are the steps to book a point-to-point trip.

  1. Check availability. Example: A15AUGQQPCWL+9B

Use city codes or rail station codes. For a complete list of rail station codes, go to: www.accesrail.com

  1. Sell train in required booking class. Example: 02Y3

Check rules in tariff display.

  1. Price the itinerary. Example: $B or $BS2

Segment select if there are other segments on the PNR.

  1. Complete the PNR.

Add all mandatory and any needed optional fields (e.g. ticketing remarks, form of payment, etc.)

  1. Store the fare. Example: T:$B/C9B/Z10

Gaileo Vacations -- Error on Name

You’ve booked a package tour in Galileo Vacations.  Although you can retrieve it in Galileo Vacations, there is no Apollo PNR.  What could have happened?

The problem may be with the title (e.g. Mr., Mrs.).  Be sure to show the title only in the Title field—not as part of the First Name field.  

  • On the web screen, Title is the first field on the Passenger Information screen. 
  • On the blue screen, the Title field follows the Name field.

Although Galileo Vacations creates a record in their system (including the incorrect placement of title with the first name, e.g. FIRST NAME> MARY/MRS), it causes a failure in the process to build the Apollo PNR.  The Galileo Vacations record is still created but a booking failure message is not generated because it has been created successfully in their system.
