Finding Cities and Airports

There are a few ways to find information about cities and airports in Apollo®.

Viewpoint™

Hotel Availability  (Tip of the Week Favorite!)

Use if you want to:

  • Find out the nearest airport or city (What’s the closest city to Oconomowoc, WI?)
  • Encode/decode cities and airports (CHS—is it Charleston, SC or WV?)
  • Find the true city code (Sacramento—is it SMF or SAC?)

      Here are the steps:

      1. In Viewpoint™, click the Hotel icon to display the Hotel Availability dialog box.
      2. In the City or Airport field, type the city code, airport code, or city name; and press the Tab key.
        - If there is a single match, the encoded or decoded city or airport appears in the City or Airport field.
        - If there are multiple matches, a list of city and airport matches appears on the Find City or Airport dialog box.

Added bonus:  The Find City or Airport dialog box, which sometimes appears when you’re looking up a city from Hotel Availability, also has information on nearby travel ports (e.g. airports, train stations, bus stations), attractions, and suburbs.
