Preparations Required Before Conversions
Here are some items that are required before a conversion can take place:
- Submit a release letter s
- Place all PNRs on queue
- Domestic Apollo Prevue
- International Galileo Prevue
- Check for an IATA change
Submit Release Letter
A release letter needs to be submitted so the conversion team can access your data. Contact the Conversion Project Planner or Conversion Programmer for the required capture dates. The release letter needs to be completed and e-mailed to both e-mail addresses listed on the top of the form.
Click here to open the release letter (Microsoft Word document format).
Apollo Queue Roll (Prevue)
All PNRs need to be on a specific queue in order for the PNRs to be captured for conversion. Make sure the queue is not an Apollo System queue. Domestic accounts have two queue roll methods. It is recommended to use the first method listed below over the second method. The second method does not work with every account. It is very important to verify both Air and NON-Air PNRs fall on queue.
Restrictions and Important Notes
- It is the agency's responsibility to have the PNRs on queue by the capture time stated on the release letter.
- It is up to the agency to verify both Air and NON-Air fall on queue.
- The Apollo Prevue is an overnight request (Batch).
- Your account is not charged for a Batch request.
- The Prevue has a 331 days limitation.
Domestic Apollo Method 1: (recommended)
On your Apollo set, type PP/ and The Apollo Mask for Batch Processing will appear. Click here to view the instructions in Word document format. Please, note there are two pages: the first page contains instructions for placing Air only PNRs on queue, the second page contains instructions to place NON-Air only PNRs on queue.
Domestic Apollo Method 2:
This method does not work for every account, if you have problems, then resort to Method 1.
On your Apollo set, type the following commands:
PDB/ALL/23MAR*10SEP-Q/90
PDB/AUX/23MAR*10SEP-Q/90
The first command will place all Air PNRs traveling between the 23rd of March and the10th of September on queue 90. The second command will place all NON-Air PNRs traveling between the 23rd of March and the10th of September on queue 90.
Galileo Queue Roll (Prevue):
All PNRs need to be on a specific queue in order for the PNRs to be captured for conversion. Make sure the queue is not a Galileo System queue. International accounts have one queue roll method. It is very important to verify that both Air and NON-Air PNRs fall on queue.
International Galileo Method:
On Your Galileo set, type the following commands:
Queue all Air Only PNRs:
LD/ALL/23MAR*10SEP-Q/90
LD/ALL/<End date>*<Beginning date>-Q/<Queue Number>
Queue all Non-Air Only PNRs:
LD/AUX/23MAR*10SEP-Q/90
LD/AUX/<End date>*<Beginning date>-Q/<Queue Number>
The commands will place all Air and NON-Air PNRs traveling on and after 10th September thru 23rd of March on queue 90.
Check for an IATA Change
Electronic ticketing data does not transfer in the circumstance of an IATA change. We recommend ticketing these PNRs immediately or issuing paper tickets for itineraries that will occur after the conversion date.
