Preparations Required Before Conversions
Items that are required before a conversion can take place.
  • Submit a release letter
  • Profiles do not need to be placed on a queue
  • Profile clean-up
  • Delete any undesired Profiles

Submit Release Letter
A release letter must be submitted so the conversion team can get access to your data. Contact the Conversion Project Planner or Conversion Programmer for the required capture dates. The release letter must be completed and e-mailed to both e-mail addresses listed on the top of the form. State if all Profiles or particular Profiles are to be captured and converted. Click Here to open the release letter (Microsoft Word document format).

Profiles do not Need to be Placed on a Queue
No steps are required for the profile data to be captured. You do not need to place profiles on a specific queue. By default, all profiles are captured for conversions. If you only want specific Company profiles and associated Traveler profiles, please state the Company names on the release letter.

Profile Clean-up
Profile clean-up will be required. Your agency can either perform profile clean-up before the profiles are converted or after the profiles reside in Travelport. The conversion team has a very helpful process to identify profiles with errors in Travelport. The process does not correct errors found in World Files, but rather places World Files with specific copy errors on specific categories. Click here to review the World File Quality Control process.

Delete any Undesired Profiles
If you know of any profiles you no longer need, then delete the profiles in your current GDS. This will save some capture and conversion time.
