GTA Travel Bound Hotels

HotelEnhancement"ID"

Effective July 30, 2008, GTA Travel Bound® hotels are now available to Worldspan-connected traditional travel agencies located in Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean.  This will provide immediate access to thousands of additional hotel properties worldwide.  Agents in the United States (including Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands) have been enjoying access to Travel Bound content since April 16, 2008.  Travelport is the first GDS to offer Travel Bound integrated content, available exclusively in the Worldspan hotel booking system.  Travel Bound is a division of GTA, one of the world’s largest travel wholesalers.

Access to shopping and booking Travel Bound hotels is easy via Worldspan Hotel Select and only requires a few additional steps to secure bookings for your customers.

o        Travel Bound content can be accessed in the Worldspan system using the TB hotel code.

o        A breakdown of the number of travelers and the ages of children must be printed on the itinerary (e.g. 2 adults, 1 child age 10).  Agents will need to use the Hotel Select special print option (/SP-) to include this information when the Travel Bound segment is booked.

o        Changes to a booked Travel Bound hotel segment are not permitted.

o        The traveler’s credit card will be charged at end transaction as all Travel Bound content is pre-paid.

o        Agents must advise travelers to carry a printed itinerary invoice. Travel Bound requires a printed itinerary invoice for presentation at the time of check-in.

o        Travel Bound will pay agency commission 30 days after receipt of full payment, regardless of travel date.

o        Additional information is also available within the Worldspan system at G/HTL/TBQ.
